Holy Spirit Hospital nurses will host Spirit 5K Run/Walk

CAMP HILL – Nurses at Holy Spirit–A Geisinger Affiliate will host the 5th annual Spirit 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 25 in Adams Ricci Park, East Spring Festival Nurse Walk 3Penn Drive, Enola. The Spirit 5K Run/Walk is hosted by the nurses to demonstrate their commitment to ANCC Magnet® Recognition for Excellence in Nursing and their ongoing dedication to healing the body, mind and spirit.

Race registration opens at 8 a.m. and the warm-up session begins at 8:30 a.m. The 5K run starts at 9 a.m. Family-friendly activities include a “Walk in the Park” (a non-competitive event) starting at 9:05 a.m. and the Children’s Fun Run at 10 a.m. for children 12 and under.  The event will be held rain or shine.

Registration fees for all events are $20 for ages 18 and younger and $25 for ages 19 and older through March 27. After March 27, fees will be $25 for ages 18 and younger and $30 for 19 and older. Additional online fees may apply. Sign up by March 27 to be guaranteed a T-shirt.

Race awards include overall male and female top three finishers. Age group awards will be given to first and second place finishers in categories of under 13, teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60+. The 5K Run/Walk will be timed by Pretzel City Sports.

Proceeds from this event will benefit charitable programs at Holy Spirit Hospital, specificallyPatient Care Services/Nursing, inpatient Behavioral Health Services and the Pastoral Care department.

Holy Spirit Hospital Auxiliary–A Geisinger Affiliate also will hold its 18th annual Spring Festival on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., at Adams Ricci Park, East Penn Drive, Enola.  The event will include a flower sale and chicken barbeque, children’s games and inflatables, and craft vendors.
