The Hershey Harrisburg Regional Visitors Bureau has hired a new vice president of operations, Sue Kunisky, to fill the void left by Sharon Altland, who is now leading the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center.
Altland left in April. Kunisky will join the bureau in June.
The Harrisburg resident has worked for Hershey Entertainment and Resorts Co. for 28 years, most recently as the marketing revenue manager for Hersheypark.
“She brings an extensive knowledge of the region and the tourism industry with a core set of leadership skills that are necessary to lead our multidisciplined team,” said bureau President Mary Smith.
In the role, Kunisky will be responsible for leading the strategic planning and execution of the bureau’s marketing, sales, services and communications programs. She also will assist the president in managing the daily operations of the bureau and overseeing the team of 11 sales, marketing and communications professionals.
HHRVB is the destination marketing organization for Dauphin and Perry counties.
