Harrisburg, Pa. (January 23, 2023)– The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC and Partnership for Career Development (PCD) have forged a unique collaboration to strengthen career development education in Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry counties.
A robust, cooperative, and supported alliance between PCD and the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC will provide stronger and more consistent collaborations between business and education. This collaboration will educate students and communities on available local career opportunities.
“We are excited to work with the Partnership for Career Development to prepare students in our region to enter the workforce,” said Ryan Unger, President and CEO of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC. “This partnership will connect our member businesses and organizations directly to students, providing opportunities not previously available. One of the biggest strengths of our region is our strong workforce. By introducing students to local businesses, we strengthen the future of our workforce.”
The Partnership for Career Development is a collaborative effort of the CAIU, its member districts/technical schools, community businesses, agencies, and postsecondary partners. This Partnership works to build a system of K-12 career development, to connect students to postsecondary options, and to improve workforce and economic development in our region.
