HARRISBURG REGIONAL CHAMBER & CAPITAL REGION ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (CREDC) ANNOUNCES 2015 BOARD OFFICERS

HARRISBURG (January 20, 2015) – The Harrisburg Regional Chamber Board of Directors and the Capital Region Economic Development Corporation (CREDC) Board of Directors announced their 2015 Board Chairs.  Kurt Twiford will serve as Chair of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber Board of Directors and Sharon Ryan will serve as Chair of the CREDC Board of Directors for 2015.

 

Kurt Twiford is the President/CEO of Conexus, Inc.  After working in the construction industry for over 20 years, he started the company in 2005. Kurt’s goal was to provide non-proprietary/open system controls to businesses in the Central Pennsylvania area.  The Lancaster native received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) and earned his MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business Administration.

Kurt has been involved with the organization for more than 15 years, first volunteering on the Diplomat Committee (now Chamber Champions).  He is married with two children and currently resides in Camp Hill.

“Over the past few years, we’ve been working on a strategic plan that is designed to develop a shared vision of what our region can become in the next 5-10 years,” stated Twiford.  “During my time as chair, I look to leverage the capacity of our board members to promote our shared vision and to enlist the business community in helping to move us towards our shared vision.”

 

Sharon Ryan is the President and Owner of Dasher, Inc.  With the goal to create a forward-thinking, community-focused, environmentally friendly business, Sharon acquired Dasher, Inc., in 2009 as the platform to launch an aggressive transformation plan.  Sharon quickly transformed Dasher from a shipping and mailing production line environment to a data-driven customer contact services operation. New capabilities were added including transactional data printing, call center, data analytics, imaging, and face to face customer outreach services.

Sharon holds a MBA from William Howard Taft University, graduated from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania and holds Pennsylvania agent licenses for life, health, annuities, property and casualty.

 

Sharon added, “If you drive 50 miles in any direction from Harrisburg, you will likely pass by at least one CREDC project.   And that’s why I am so proud to be leading CREDC’s Board of Directors.  When you
