HARRISBURG April 13, 2016—On March 31, 2016, the Hershey Harrisburg Regional Visitors Bureau (HHRVB) held the annual “Partner In Tourism Platinum Awards.” This year, 15 people, businesses, and events were distinctly awarded for reflecting the Bureau’s mission to enrich the region’s attraction, especially to visitors and tourists.
The Millworks was honored with the “New Tourism Business of the Year 2015” Award. This comes just as The Millworks is celebrating its first year anniversary as a premier arts, culture, and food destination in the City of Harrisburg. Other acclamations in this past year include “Best New Restaurant” by Susquehanna Style Magazine and the Harrisburg Regional Chamber and CREDC’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” to The Millwork’s owner and devleoper Josh Kesler.
The exquisitely transformed space of a long abandoned industrial building includes 18 artists studios, three galleries, an open-air biergarten that seats 64, a full service bar, live music, and a 150-seat restaurant. A 2000 foot onsite brewery is slated to open soon.
Located in the city’s Historic Midtown next to the Broad Street Market, The Millworks characterizes the capital city’s evolving development and revitalization. As well as creating 100 new jobs, The Millworks gives venue to other regional entrepreneurs and businesses including local farmers and producers, artists, and musicians.
The Millworks congratulates all of the esteemed awardees.
