HARRISBURG AWARDED FEDERAL BYRNE CRIMINAL JUSTICE INNOVATION GRANT FOR CAMP CURTIN NEIGHBORHOOD

Harrisburg – On Friday, April 22nd at 10:30 am, Tri County Community Action (TCCA) will announce the beginning of community outreach for the Byrne Grant with their partners The City of Harrisburg, Harrisburg Police Department, Camp Curtin YMCA, and Penn State Harrisburg School of Public Affairs.

This $155,522 grant will launch a community initiative to reduce crime as part of a holistic neighborhood revitalization strategy. Harrisburg City was selected as one of only eleven sites in the country to receive this grant during this funding cycle. Grant partners will share the important aspects of the grant and opportunities for the community to be involved in creating a plan for their community.
