Harrisburg—June 4, 2015— Vision Resources of Central Pennsylvania will hold a reception honoring the birthday of Helen Keller, June 27, 1880, as well as presenting an unveiling of a wonderful donation the agency recently received.  The event will take place Wednesday June 24, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Vision Resources facility, 1130 S. 19th Street, Harrisburg, PA 17104-2912. Local dignitaries, community leaders and supporters of Vision Resources have been invited.

The gift is a beautifully framed photograph of Ms. Keller and a separate card with Helen’s signature included in the matting. Vision Resources was given the photograph by Glenn and Bobbie Dandoy in memory of Mary Jane Leader. Mr. Dandoy knew Mrs. Leader through his employment with Country Meadows Retirement Communities, a business which former Governor George Leader began and is still a family operation. Mrs. Leader was always keenly interested in vision handicaps and the Leader family has long been active supporters of Vision Resources.
