Capital Area Intermediate Unit launches Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

In honor of National Read Across America Day, Capital Area Intermediate Unit launches Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to the capital area with your donations. We need to reach our goal of $180,000 to open the library in Dauphin, Cumberland, and Perry Counties. March 2nd, kick off goal is $5,000. Dolly Parton’s Imaginary Library sends books to children, age’s birth to five at no cost to families. Reading books aloud to children develops language and listening skills. Even after children learn to read by themselves, it’s still important for you to read aloud together. A group of volunteers, under the umbrella of CASTL, is determined to make sure the youngest children in the CAIU’s footprint all have the same opportunity to start life with a rich literary background!
