Terrapin Pennsylvania is hosting a FREE “Women in Cannabis” webinar on Wednesday, Nov. 13 from 2-3 p.m. The webinar is designed to educate, encourage, and offer real-life success stories of women who lead in the field. We’re very excited to host an independent and inspired conversation for women, minorities and other diverse groups interested in learning more about what a future might look like in the medical cannabis industry. The webinar will feature the following women who are leaders and entrepreneurs in the field:
CHRIS VISCO: President, TerraVida Holistic Centers
Chris Visco is the President of TerraVida Holistic Centers, operating three medical cannabis dispensaries in Pennsylvania. Chris has over 25 years of retail and marketing experience. Dubbed “The Queen of Cannabis” by The Philadelphia Inquirer, TerraVida has dominated the Pennsylvania medical cannabis market with the three highest volume stores, seeing 30,000 unique patients and conducting over a quarter-million patient interactions in the last year. Patient-focused care and social justice are the foundation for TerraVida’s success. Chris founded a nonprofit organization, TerraVida VOWD Fund (Victims of the War on Drugs), which is working to gain the financial support of other industry leaders to give back to the communities they serve. VOWD’s mission is to improve the landscape of the cannabis market by advocating for disadvantaged communities, diversity and inclusion.
JAMIE WARE: Compliance Officer, Holistic Industries
Jamie Ware, as Compliance Officer, is responsible for ensuring that Holistic follows the ever-changing regulatory environment in the cannabis industry. TAMMY ROYER: President of Organic Remedies PA
Tammy is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in retail pharmacy, and most recently, the medical cannabis industry. She holds a B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh. Tammy spent nearly 23 years at Rite Aid, initially as a licensed store pharmacist, where her career significantly developed with the growth of the company. She rose to Senior Vice President of Pharmacy Operations. Tammy chose to join Organic Remedies and enter into the medical cannabis space because she saw the value of medical cannabis for patients and the “high-touch patient care” model developed at Organic Remedies. Her work in the medical cannabis industry provided an opportunity to impact patient care in a way simply not possible in the retail pharmacy industry. Her experiences in retail pharmacy inform her decisions in the legal cannabis field. Tammy has strong knowledge in IT systems, operations, clinical program development, and security protocols. In her current role, Tammy is responsible for the patient experience, inventory controls, marketing, and IT systems management.
