On Friday, September 18th at 3 p.m., seven representatives of Fox Pest Control repaired a damaged fence for a York customer whose husband is struggling with cancer.
Fox also provided a pro bono pest control treatment and will continue with a free follow up, quoted at over $300.
While visiting the customer’s home for a routine pest control service, Pest Pro Technician CJ Gekas learned of the situation and noticed the customer’s fence post was falling down due to carpenter ant damage. He suggested to his team lead that they repair the fence. Because this customer takes care of her husband with little support, the team’s goal of this project was to make a positive impact on her life.
Gekas stated, “Not only did the customer benefit from this project, but we also benefited from spending time together and working towards this goal.”
As part of Fox’s new Green Glove Project initiative, every team member wore green gloves for the service project to signify Fox’s helping hand. For future community involvement, technicians will continue to wear green gloves to represent their volunteer efforts.
“The project went well and those able to participate enjoyed helping a community member in need,” stated Fox Pest Control Branch Manager, James Tarman.
