F&M Trust Announces Officer Promotions

(CHAMBERSBURG, PA) F&M Trust recently announced the following promotions:
Eric Fleming, Credit Department Manager was promoted to Vice President.
Fleming joined the bank in 2007 and has more than 10 years of experience in credit analysis and commercial banking with F&M Trust. His responsibilities include managing the credit analysis and underwriting process within the Commercial Services Department and supervising the bank’s Credit Analysts. A graduate of Penn State University, Fleming is also active in the community as a member of the Board of Directors for the Chambersburg YMCA and the Board Treasurer for the Capital Theatre.
Bruce Smith, Investment and Trust Services Market Manager in Cumberland County was promoted to Vice President.
In his role at F&M Trust, Smith is responsible for coordinating customer service and business development activities for the Investment & Trust Services Division in Cumberland County. He also provides investment, trust, administration, estate planning and retirement planning services to individuals and businesses. Smith has over 39 years in financial services and is a graduate of Penn State University and Lebanon Valley College. He currently serves as the executive secretary of the Hershey Rotary Club.
Matthew Berger, Investment and Trust Services Market Manager in Southern Franklin, Fulton and Huntingdon Counties was promoted to Assistant Vice President.
Berger has been with F&M trust since 2012 and is responsible for coordinating customer service and business development activities for the Investment & Trust Services Division in Franklin, Fulton and Huntingdon Counties. Additionally, he provides investment management and fiduciary services for both individuals and businesses. Berger is a graduate of Penn State University’s Smeal College of Business where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting with a minor in business law. He currently serves on the board of the Franklin County Chapter of the Pennsylvania State University Alumni Association.
Dana Kaiser-Brechbiel, Community Office Manager at Orchard Park was promoted to Assistant Vice President.
Kaiser-Brechbiel joined F&M Trust in 1998 and has more than 18 years of experience in the financial services industry. She is responsible for consumer lending, business development, deposit services, customer service, and strengthening relationships within the community. Kaiser-Brechbiel is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association’s School of Banking and Advanced School of Banking and is currently serving on the Greencastle Relay for Life Committee and as Treasurer for the Greencastle-Antrim Fast Pitch Softball Association
Kathleen Bloss was promoted to Commercial Services Loan Portfolio Manager in Cumberland County.
In her new role, Bloss is responsible for monitoring and co-managing a commercial lending portfolio in conjunction with the Commercial Services Relationship Managers in Cumberland County. Bloss has over 25 years of experience in commercial banking and is graduate of Harrisburg Area Community College where she obtained an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies. She is currently the Vice President of the Paxtang Borough Council (Dauphin County, PA) and the Treasurer of the Paxtang Volunteer Fire Company.
Jeramy Culler was promoted to Business Banking Manager.
In his role, Culler is responsible for supervising and developing the bank’s Business Banking team. He joined the bank in November 2006 and has over 11 years of experience in commercial banking. Culler is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association’s Commercial Lending School and is active with his daughters’ sports activities serving as a coach for the McConnellsburg Youth Soccer Club.
Cydnie Kelly was promoted to Treasury Management Relationship Manager.
Kelly joined F&M Trust in 2012 and in her new role will be responsible for developing and managing treasury management services for the bank’s current and prospective customers in the Cumberland County Market. She has over 11 years of experience in the financial services industry and has completed several courses through the American Bankers Association (ABA). Kelly currently serves as Vice Chair of the Membership Committee for the West Shore Chamber of Commerce.
Jordan Peffer was promoted to Retail Services Operations Officer.
Peffer joined F&M Trust in 2013 and has over 8 years of experience in the financial services industry. In his new role, he will be responsible for supporting the bank’s 22 offices in the areas of compliance, staff development and training, sales and customer service. Peffer has been a “big brother” with Big Brothers Big Sisters since 2012 and is a very active member of the Chambersburg First Church of God. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Shippensburg University, and is currently enrolled in pursuit of his Master’s in the same concentration.
Julie Powell was promoted to Business Banker in Southern Franklin County.
In her role at F&M Trust, Powell will develop and manage a business banking portfolio in the Southern Franklin County market. She joined the bank in 2016 and has 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Powell is a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Accounting. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Waynesboro Chamber of Commerce and is very active in her children’s sports activities serving as Vice President of the Waynesboro Sr. High School volleyball booster organization.
Kathy Powley was promoted to Commercial Services Loan Portfolio Manager in Franklin County.
Powley joined the bank in 2013 and has over 24 years of experience in commercial banking. In her new role, she is responsible for monitoring and co-managing a commercial lending portfolio in conjunction with the Commercial Services Relationship managers in Franklin County. Powley is a graduate of the American Bankers Association (ABA) Commercial Lending School, and an honors graduate from the Pennsylvania Bankers Association (PBA) School of Commercial Lending. She currently serves on the boards of the Pennsylvania Interfaith Community Programs, Inc. and the Totem Pole Playhouse.
