The Economic Development Course in Pennsylvania is designed to serve the needs of full-time economic development practitioners and those involved in economic development in a secondary way. Participants learn theoretical and practical approaches to economic development from professional and experienced faculty drawn from the ranks of business, government, academic institutions, and development organizations. For those seeking national certification, the Economic Development Course is a requirement for the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) certification.
