CREDC 2020: A Bridge to a Better Future
a Catalyst for Job Creation and Economic Growth in Dauphin, Cumberland, & Perry Counties
At the beginning of 2020, we at the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC had big plans to kick off a high energy 2021-2025 CREDC Campaign. Our plans were stopped short, as were the plans of many others, when COVID-19 abruptly hit. While we may have put our major five-year campaign on pause, we do not plan to slow our energy. Instead, we will focus our efforts on a two-year bridge campaign to meet our operational needs through 2022. We thank you for your time and consideration of contributing to our campaign.
Our Plan of Work 2021-2022:
-
Project-Focused Development
Our first focus is dedicated to building the CREDC loan portfolio and management of CREDC projects. This extends to grant fund administration and industrial site remediation projects.
-
Workforce
Workforce development is one of our biggest priorities at the Chamber & CREDC. We focus on training and career path education and awareness through partnerships with our local education organizations. We also run initiatives to retain and recruit top quality talent for our region by branding our region as a high quality place to live and work.
-
Creating a Region Free of Systemic Racism
Recent events have taught us that diversity and representation in business can and should be a top priority. Our campaign will focus on ways we can bring organizational training to businesses and help improve perceptions for diversity in business. We will also emphasize assisting with minority business development and financing.
-
Pandemic Response and Assistance
The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a lot of need for financing in our community. We help package business grants at no-charge through the COVID-19 Working Capital Access (CWCA) program. We also serve to connect businesses to recovery resources, and educate our community with best practices for business recovery.
Our Goal for 2021-2022
$1.2 Million will allow us to accomplish our goals. Can we count on your help for the future of our region?

Meet the Campaign Team
Over the past few years, a dedicated group of volunteers has worked on analyzing the need for funds to allow the CREDC side of the organization
to provide high-quality economic development services to our region. These volunteers comprise the Noodling Group, because they noodle ideas, concepts and solutions. They have all agreed to stay on and help fulfill this mission to build a successful bridge to the future!
