The Chamber & CREDC Education and Business Partnership (EBP) Committee supports and advances collaborative initiatives and relationships with community partners to connect education and business to promote lifelong learning. The Committee monitors local, state, and federal education and workforce legislative issues, as well as works with the Pennsylvania House and Senate Education Committees on various education initiatives.
Education & Business Partnership COMMITTEE GOALS
- Support and advance collaborative initiatives and relationships with community partners to connect education and business to promote lifelong learning.
- Provide leadership in exploring, supporting, and promoting initiatives to enhance the quality of programs, curriculum, assessment, etc. in order to promote career and college success.
- Continue to breakdown stereotypes and barriers, raise awareness, and promote the equal opportunity of employment for all workers.
- Monitor local, state, and federal education and workforce legislative issues, as well as work collaboratively with and be a resource to the Pennsylvania House and Senate Education Committees on various education initiatives.
- Make recommendations to the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC on the impact and implications of education and workforce-related issues.
Meetings: The committee meets on the third Thursday of every month from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. at the Chamber offices. (Meeting days/times/locations subject to change.)
