Harrisburg, PA – July 29, 2015 – Classic Drycleaners and Laundromats donated the cleaning of 60 formal gowns and 30 weddings gowns to Pink Hands of Hope, a Mechanicsburg-based non-profit organization. In early July, Pink Hands of Hope experienced severe flooding at their thrift store. All gown cleaning was completed by Michelle Dively, the on-site Wedding Gown Specialist for Classic Drycleaners and Laundromats.
Megan Swope, Pink Hands of Hope volunteer, says, “The flooding has been devastating. In addition to the clean-up required for our building, we had a lot of inventory that needed cleaned, too – items we were preparing for sale. Without the help of Classic Drycleaners, these gowns would not be any condition for sale, which ultimately affects our mission of helping women in this community fight breast cancer.”
Classic Drycleaners and Laundromats supports hundreds of local, non-profit organizations throughout the year, in a variety of ways. Paula Kostick, Owner of Classic Drycleaners and Laundromats says, “Our local, non-profit organizations are essential to the livelihood of our communities. We believe in supporting these organizations through the donation of in-kind services and other avenues of support that ultimately aid in their varying missions.”
