HARRISBURG (April 6, 2015) — Centric Bank, headquartered in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, is expanding into Bucks County, effective April 13, 2015, with a team of experienced banking professionals located in that market. To meet the growing small business banking needs of these communities, the Bucks County Centric Bank team will begin offering services immediately followed by the opening of a loan production office within 60 days.
The five-person lending team, led by Michele E. Light, Senior Vice President and Market Leader, delivers an aggregate 100 years of local financial expertise, as well as small business and SBA lending, and commercial real estate loan experience. “Michele Light and her team bring a shared vision and passion for American small business and understand the fuel it provides to our communities,” says Patti Husic, President & CEO, Centric Bank.
“To provide relationship-banking services to our neighbors in Bucks County is an exciting opportunity for Centric Bank,” says Husic. “The rich history of the region, the business DNA, work ethic, and demographics of Bucks County complement our customer and shareholder base.”
“To join the relationship and lending strengths of our teams was instinctive from our first meeting with the Centric Bank leadership,” says Light. “April is Community Banking Month and this acquisition is an economic opportunity for our entrepreneurs and small business owners who depend on access to capital from their community banker.”
“As a leader in organic loan growth in Pennsylvania, we appreciate the special connection and trust people feel for their in-town lender. Our handshake is still one of the most powerful brand messages on the planet,” says Husic. The goal is to add fresh ideas and financial muscle to this team’s community footprint. “We feel it’s a win-win for Bucks County small businesses who are ready to build, hire, and expand, and for Centric’s banking growth.”
Similar to Centric’s central Pennsylvania lending teams, the Bucks County team will provide commercial lending, with a concentration on Commercial and Industrial (C&I) and SBA lending to small businesses and professional service sectors. This includes cash management, remote deposit capture services for clients to make deposits anytime/anywhere, and 24/7 internet banking and mobile banking. The team’s experience in medical financing parallels the Doctor Centric Bank concierge banking services.
In addition to Light, formerly Chief Lending Officer of Milestone Bank in Doylestown, the Bucks County Centric Bank team includes Christopher E. McDermott, SVP and Commercial Lending Officer; Tania J. Fleming, SVP and Commercial Lending Officer; Andrea R. Ahern, VP and Commercial Lending; and Mercy M. Rose, Commercial Lending Assistant.
