Capital Area School for the Arts Charter School (CASA) Unveils New 21st Century Academic Space

Capital Area School for the Arts Charter School (CASA) has moved into its brand-new academic space in Strawberry Square. The new classrooms, science lab, and administrative offices are helping CASA build on its foundation of providing high quality, standards-based academic and arts education in the Harrisburg region.

Prior to this school year, CASA leased classrooms from Temple University’s Harrisburg campus. The new space not only enhances the STEAM education experience, it provides students with a more streamlined and secure school day.

CASA is one of the top five Charter High Schools in Pennsylvania, consistently scoring well above the state average on Pennsylvania’s Keystone Exams. Located in downtown Harrisburg, the arts intensive high school educates 200 students from seven counties and 30 school districts. Major art disciplines include creative writing, dance, film and video, music, theatre, and visual arts.

Due to COVID-19, a ribbon-cutting event is not possible. However, media is invited to tour the new space. Please contact Tim Wendling, CEO/Principal, to schedule a time and date.
