HARRISBURG, PA (January 26TH, 2022) —

Bryan Burkentine, VP Construction and Asset Management, Bryce Burkentine, VP of Land Acquisitions and Real Estate and Michael Burkentine, VP Sales & Business Development welcomed guests to the site of their new luxury rental community, the Terraces at Maplewood. The location on Elmwood Drive in Harrisburg, PA allows residents to enjoy suburban living only 6 miles from downtown Harrisburg and minutes from I-81 and I-83.

“We are very excited to start this project and have this welcome into the Harrisburg community,” shared Bryce Burkentine. “This is a $64 million project that is 236 units, consisting of 90 garden apartments and 146, 3-story and 2-story townhome rental units. This project will have extensive amenities which will include a clubhouse, a pool, wellness center, biking and walking trail, Amazon hub to keep packages safe and a dog area as well. We are adjacent to Susquehanna Union Green project, a great amenity for our residents – allowing the opportunity to walk next door for entertainment, shopping, and dining.”

Bryce then introduced Ryan Unger, CEO/President, of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber of Commerce. “We appreciate your family’s investment here in the Harrisburg region. I love speaking at these events, especially when we speak over the moving of dirt and having to yell passed it…it’s a good problem to have. We are one of the fastest growing regions in the Commonwealth and you are doing work all over the Eastern seaboard and you chose Harrisburg, and we appreciate that. As we look to move forward and past Covid, we know that workforce continues to be a challenge for all of us and one of the biggest barriers to finding good workers is finding good homes, apartments, and places they want to be, and I appreciate the work that you are doing, your investment, your partnership with the Chamber. Congratulations.”

“This project is important to both Burkentine and the Harrisburg community in that it brings walkability and affordability to the area,” said Bryce. “We are really excited to be a part of it. Our passion is to deliver homes for families, and we do that through new homes for sale and through rentals as well, like this particular project. I want to thank everyone for coming out today, braving the cold with us and sharing in the excitement for the Terraces at Maplewood.”

Additional attendees included Deborah Swartz, Legislative District Manager at PA State House of Representatives, who spoke on behalf of Representative Sue Helm (R-Dauphin/Lebanon), Kinsley Construction, RGS Associates, Harrisburg Home Builders Association and the Vartan Group, representing the neighboring Susquehanna Union Green community.
Phase 1 of the project has an estimated completion date of August 2022 with a total of three Phases.
