CAMP HILL, PA (January 4, 2017) – Effective January 1, Boyer & Ritter LLC proudly welcomes Mechanicsburg-based Waggoner, Frutiger & Daub in a merger that brings together two respected accounting firms with considerable talent and experience.

Waggoner Frutiger & Daub began its professional practice in Mechanicsburg in 1964 and shares Boyer & Ritter’s values and commitment to clients, community and staff. The 14 accounting professionals and support staff will now operate under the Boyer & Ritter name and relocate to Boyer & Ritter’s Camp Hill headquarters.

Robert Murphy, CEO, Boyer & Ritter

“This merger with Waggoner, Frutiger & Daub places Boyer & Ritter firmly on the path to be the premiere accounting firm in central Pennsylvania,’’ said Boyer & Ritter CEO Robert J. Murphy, CPA, CVA/ABV. “Waggoner, Frutiger & Daub has a well-deserved, excellent reputation and its people will be valued members of our team.’’

Murphy said the merger will allow Boyer & Ritter dedicate additional resources to small businesses, nonprofits, governments and in the area of employee benefit plan audits. Similar to Boyer & Ritter, the professionals from Waggoner, Frutiger & Daub focus on tax and management consulting services to closely-held businesses.

Boyer & Ritter will be gaining the expertise of 14 professionals, including Managing Partner Ray Brown, who will become a principal with Boyer & Ritter.

“We chose to merge into Boyer & Ritter because of the remarkable similarities between our firms and because we believe that a larger organization will allow us to provide a wider array of services and more depth,’’ Brown said. “Becoming part of Boyer & Ritter will also mean our associates will benefit from even more and stronger career opportunities.’’

In 2016, Boyer & Ritter was recognized as one of the top 27 firms in the list of regional leaders in the Mid-Atlantic by Accounting Today Magazine. Boyer & Ritter was one of only four in the Commonwealth included in the list, which looks at top firms in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
