December 14, 2015 (Camp Hill, Pa.) – Accounting firm Boyer & Ritter LLC is among the best places to work in Pennsylvania and nationally, according to an independent evaluation looking at employee satisfaction and workplace practices.

“We know that to provide the best accounting services to our clients, it’s important for us to attract and retain the best in the field,’’ said Boyer & Ritter principal and CEO Robert J. Murphy, CPA, CVA/ABV. “We recognize that our employees are our most important assets.’’

Nationally, Boyer & Ritter was ranked 23 out of 100 mid-sized companies with between 50 to 249 employees, according to the annual contest sponsored by Accounting Today. This marked the eighth year in a row Boyer & Ritter has placed in the top 40.

Among Pennsylvania firms, Boyer & Ritter placed 38 out of 74 companies with between 25 to 250 employees, according to Best Places to Work in PA 2015. This marked the eighth year in a row Boyer & Ritter has ranked in the top 50. The contest is sponsored by Team Pennsylvania, the state Department of Community and Economic Development and the Central Penn Business Journal.

Assessing the companies in both the national and local rankings was independent researcher Best Companies Group. Significantly, 75 percent of the evaluation is based on employee responses to a confidential survey measuring various areas including pay and benefits, work environment and corporate culture.

In 2014, Boyer & Ritter was also named one of the best places to work for millennial employees in a national survey conducted by Best Companies Group in partnership with the Center for Generational Kinetics. The center studies generational trends in the workplace and marketplace.
