BOLD LEADERSHIP: Kara Luzik Canale Joins Team as Vice President of Chamber Operations

HARRISBURG (July 5, 2017) – The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC recently announced the hiring of Kara Luzik Canale as Vice President of Chamber Operations. In her new role, which will begin Monday, July 17, she is responsible for implementing and developing components of the Chamber & CREDC’s Strategic Plan and oversight of specific areas of operation including membership, events, business diversity, and communications.
Luzik Canale comes to the Chamber & CREDC from Sacunas where she served as Public Relations Director implementing clients’ strategic public experience programs and leading the agency’s cross-departmental internship program. Prior to Sacunas, she was Director of Account Strategy at La Torre Communications.
She is a graduate of Elizabethtown College holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in corporate communications and a minor in political science. She is an active member of Harrisburg Young Professionals where she led the development of the Harrisburg Internship Connection, designed to retain future leaders by helping college students discover Harrisburg through a regional mentorship program. Luzik Canale also is a Central Penn Business Journal “Forty Under 40” Award recipient.
