Bethesda Mission’s Youth Center , located at 1438 Herr Street , is involved in a special project again this year.  On Friday, November 20, 2015, from 4:00-5:30 p.m., the children will be packing food boxes to be distributed to those in need during this Thanksgiving holiday season.  Nearly 20 children will be involved in the project, demonstrating God’s love and compassion for others.  They will be packing 300 boxes for distribution and the designated distributors will be picking up the boxes on Monday, November 23rd.

“We feel that it is very important for our children to not only learn about God’s love and compassion, but to also have opportunities to put others ahead of themselves,” stated Chuck Wingate, executive director of the Mission .

Wingate continued, “We are proud of the job that our staff does with the children who come to the Youth Center .  We are so very blessed to have the support of the local community so that needs can be met in this way during this holiday season!”
