BETHESDA MISSION HOSTS 26th ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
TO BENEFIT THOSE IN NEED!
On Monday, July 11, 2016, golfers will be “teeing it up” to help provide necessary funding for the Helmsman Discipleship Program at Bethesda Mission. The 26th Annual Mission Open Golf Tournament will be held at Colonial Golf & Tennis Club, located at 4901 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg. Light refreshments will be available at 7:00 a.m., before the four-ball scramble shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. A luncheon and an awards ceremony will conclude the golfing day.
“This is one of the largest fund raising events of the year for us,” states Chuck Wingate, executive director of the Mission. “While this event has raised over $650,000 over the last 25 years, the impact on the men in our program is priceless!”
During the luncheon, a former client and graduate of the Helmsman Program will share a few words about his life-journey and how the proceeds from this tournament have impacted his life by making programs at the Mission possible.
This entire event is organized and driven by two faithful volunteers, Tim and Beth Ann Hoagland, leading a very dedicated and committed committee. They both have given hours of their precious time and thousands of dollars of their own money in making this tournament successful, year after year! Bethesda Mission is deeply appreciative for all of the hard work that has been expended for this year’s Mission Open!
There is still time for you to support the Mission by golfing, being a sponsor, or sending in a donation. For further information, please contact Ken Ross at 717-257-4442, ext. 223 from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. weekdays or visit our website at www.bethesdamission.org .
