HARRISBURG, PA (October 3, 2016) – The Central Penn Business Journal recently released the names of the 2016 Executive Management Awards finalists. Tradesman Drywall is pleased to announce that Andrew Lewis will be recognized in the Chief Operating Officer category.
A former Army Counterintelligence Agent and Non-Commissioned Officer, Andrew Lewis is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Tradesman Drywall, and has instituted numerous reforms to accelerate company growth. “When Andrew came home from the Army and joined our company, he was exactly what we needed to take Tradesman to the next level,” said Ben Lewis, Tradesman CEO and brother. “Some of his initiatives included reforming our brand and business model, restructuring our management model to facilitate employee mentorship, development, and better quality control, successfully increasing company bondability for large-scale projects, establishing a trade school employee recruiting pipeline, implementing a cloud-based project management software application company-wide, and launching Tradesman Interiors – our basement remodeling division.”
He also said that Andrew’s leadership was key in driving an 84% increase in company revenues from 2014 to 2015, and in 2016 the Central Penn Business Journal recognized Tradesman Drywall as the 11th fastest growing company in Dauphin County. “There are seven of us Lewis brothers, and all of us are in small business,’ Benjamin added, “but Andrew was the only one of us to go get his MBA – and it’s definitely paying off for Tradesman Drywall.”
Andrew’s community involvement includes serving on the Harrisburg Chamber of Commerce’s Government Relations Committee, being active in his Rotary Club, serving in the PA National Guard, and advocating for local veterans and veterans groups through his VFW.
“I want to thank Central Penn Business Journal for placing me on the finalist list for this award,” Andrew said in a statement. “Being part of a small business here in Lower Paxton Township is very rewarding, and I’m grateful to my brothers Ben and Hunter for their commitment to our company. I also want to give a shout out to the rest of our leadership team – Jason, Adam, Nate, Donald, Norm and Mara. We couldn’t be successful without them, and each member of Tradesman Drywall.”
2016 is the inaugural year of the Executive Management Awards—a unique local program that celebrates Central Pennsylvania’s senior-level executives who contribute to the success of our region’s economic growth and stability. All finalists were selected by an independent panel of judges not associated with the Business Journal or the event sponsors.
The Central Penn Business Journal’s Executive Management Awards will be presented at an event on Tuesday, December 13 at Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts from 6:00PM – 8:30PM. All finalists will be recognized and the winner in each category will be announced.
Following the event, Andrew Lewis and the other award recipients will be featured in a special publication distributed in the December 16 edition of the Central Penn Business Journal.
The 2016 Executive Management Awards are presented by Reinsel Kuntz Lesher (RKL). The Continuing Education Sponsor is Harrisburg University.
