KCA Awards Michael Sgriccia the Inaugural KCA Top Young Leader Award 

Award Ceremony Held during Announcement of ACE Mentor Program Launching a Chapter in State College!

State College, PA – The Keystone Contractors Association (KCA) is pleased to announce Alexander Building Construction Company’s Michael Sgriccia as the inaugural KCA Top Young Leader Award winner. This award is bestowed upon emerging professionals from member companies who play critical roles in the community and professional areas of the construction industry.

A Senior Program Manager with Alexander for ten years, Mike has led the construction of fourteen projects totaling more than $182 million for some of Central Pennsylvania’s largest employers; such as: Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Mount Nittany Health; and Penn State University, to name a few.

Mike’s value to the company and community extends beyond the buildings he has constructed as he is involved in many organizations where he shares his talents with others. He volunteers with Leadership Centre County and the United Way.

“Mike is a leader at our company and in the industry. He is innovative, responsible and committed to our community. We are proud to have Mike on the team in a senior management role and honored he was the first person to receive the KCA Top Young Leader Award,” said Christopher Magent, General Manager State College, Alexander.

Additionally, KCA and Construction Owners Association of America Pennsylvania Chapter announced the introduction of Charles Thornton and the ACE Mentor Program to the State College community. Thornton founded the organization in 1994 with the goal of helping mentor high school students who are interested in pursuing careers in the ACE disciplines, which include architectural, construction and engineering.
