The Humane Society of Harrisburg Area (HSHA) will be holding the 18th Annual 5K Run/Walk for the Animals at Wildwood Park and Olewine Nature Center in Harrisburg. The event will take place on May 2, 2015.

This family-friendly event is one of HSHA’s largest fundraisers, attracting more than 350 participants of various demographics from across Central Pennsylvania. We are encouraging corporations/businesses to show their support by forming teams to fundraise and participate in the 5K Run/Walk for the Animals. This gives both the corporation/business and its employees the opportunity to give back to the community and support a worthy cause. The funds raised by each team will go directly to the care of the over 800 pets currently residing at our shelter waiting for their forever homes. T-shirts are given to each participant that raises $75 or more. You are more than welcome to bring your dogs along to enjoy the event. There will be food, vendors, team pictures and medals for our top runners.

To register for the event click here or print out this paper form.

NEW IN 2015!!!!

At this year’s 5K Walk/Run for the Animals participants have the opportunity to honor their pet by purchasing a yard sign that will be displayed along the course. Consider sending in a picture (non-returnable) of your beloved pet to be displayed on the sign as well. For only $10 display the name of your furry family member(s).
