Cruzstar, Winner of Great Business Challenge Moves into Murata Business Center

HARRISBURG (June 24, 2008)  - Cruzstar, the company that won the Murata Great Business Challenge, moved into the Murata Business Center on June 10th.  The Murata Great Business Challenge was a business plan competition held by the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC.  Companies in business two years or less were eligible to apply.  In addition to receiving six months free rent at Murata, Cruzstar also received nearly $20,000 worth of free products and services.

Cruzstar founded and owned by Adrian Fang, has developed a proprietary web-based system that allows customers to order meals online from top local restaurants and caterers. It also provides customers software tools to help them manage their events. Geared toward corporations and professionals who regularly order food for group functions, Cruzstar offers the convenience of ordering from a selection of vendors and menus online and Cruzstar's follow through to assure accuracy and satisfaction.

"We are looking forward to assisting Cruzstar in the growth of their business," stated Karen Gunnison, Executive Director of the Murata Business Center.  "Cruzstar is a very unique business and I am confident Adrian will do well at Murata and take his business to the next level.  We will be there every step of the way to help him in any way we can."

Fang added, "June 10th was a milestone date for us, as it marked our first day at the Murata Business Center.  Already, we've received ample support from Murata's Advisory Board as well as the facility staff.  With Murata's help, we're even more confident that Cruzstar will become a success.  Our goal is to make Murata our home for the next 5 years (till graduation), as we continue to grow Cruzstar throughout PA and beyond."

The Murata Business Center is a 30,000 square foot business incubator owned and operated by the Harrisburg Regional Chamber and CREDC.  Murata provides many different services, support and affordable rent to start-up companies.  It is staffed by the Executive Director, Facilities Manager-Alex Quigley and two part-time  Administrative Assistants- Kathy Kirk and Janet Hosey, as well as supported by the staff at the Chamber & CREDC.  It is a state designated Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) and companies located in the facility have qualified for KIZ tax credits.
