 Auditor General Jack Wagner Second to Address Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC Membership in its Pennsylvania Perspectives Series

 HARRISBURG (June 2, 2009)  - Today, Pennsylvania Auditor General Jack Wagner spoke to the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC (HRC/CREDC) membership during the second event in its Pennsylvania Perspective Series.  The breakfast was held at the Hilton Harrisburg. Last month, Tom Corbett, Pennsylvania Attorney General, kicked-off the series.

As the 2010 Governor's race begins to take shape, HRC/CREDC is offering members the opportunity to learn more about the people who may be Pennsylvania's next Governor.  The event series will pick up in the fall. 

Jack Wagner has served as President of Pittsburgh City Council and as a State Senator in addition to Auditor General.  He worked for Duquesne Light before his public service as a safety engineer.  He served in the Marines in Vietnam earning a Purple Heart. 

In addition to providing some insight on his current office, he offered some insight and optimism on Pennsylvania's future.  He also answered questions on health care, transportation and keeping young talented people in Pennsylvania.

Wagner commended the organization saying, "The Harrisburg Regional Chamber and CREDC does a fantastic job promoting business, community, and economic development in Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry Counties.  As a result of their efforts, the area continues to flourish during a challenging economy.  I look forward to working with the Chamber to build on the strong business foundation, wonderful communities, and high quality of life here in central Pennsylvania."
