Greek Company Joins Murata Business Center Client List
HARRISBURG (May 18, 2009) - The Murata Business Center, a business incubator located in Carlisle, has a new client housed in its facility - Kovanis Group LLC. Kovanis is an expansion of a group of companies in Europe that has dealt with electronics for the past 23 years.
Their activity in the United States will be importing, exporting and media services. Kovanis specializes in bringing Greek culture to America. Kovanis has a television and radio station, Sat-Lux TV and Sat-Lux Radio, that transmit Greek music, landscapes, and cuisine, targeting Greeks who live outside their native country. The satellite transmits signals from Alaska to Mexico, covering Canada, the U.S., and Central America where there is a large Greek community. Their focus in the U.S. is to promote and find advertisers for the channels. The content and programming will be handled from their studios in Greece that already create the programming for their channels in Europe.
As their business grows, Kovanis plans to use this company not only for the U.S. market but to expand into Canada, South America and Australia.
Co-owner of the Kovanis Group LLC, Kovanis Kostas stated, "After researching the market I believe the Murata Business Center was one of the best places to start up a business. First of all, it is in the KIZ (Keystone Innovation Zone). The price is very affordable and the great thing is that you can start with a small space and gradually, as your business grows, you can add space which keeps our budget under control and makes us feel more secure knowing that as we grow we won't have to move to another facility."
