Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC to Offer Program for Businesses Entitled: Weathering the Economic Storm

HARRSIBURG REGIONAL CHAMBER & CREDC TO OFFER PROGRAM FOR BUSINESSES ENTITLED: WEATHERING THE ECONOMIC STORM

HARRISBURG (October 20, 2008) - In response to the recent economic challenges, the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC will be holding a breakfast and discussion entitled,  "Weathering the Economic Storm", Monday, November 10th at the C. Ted Lick Wildwood Conference Center, Harrisburg Area Community College.  Registration begins at 7:30am and the event will begin promptly at 8:00am.  

A panel of seasoned professionals and participants will discuss current economic business challenges and share their experiences for businesses getting through less than ideal economic times. The event will include tips to position business to get through tough times and position them for an eventual economic recovery. Panelists include: 

  • John Dame, President & CEO of Dame Management Strategies
  • Terry L. Lehman, Managing Partner of bmc (Harrisburg Office)
  • Timothy M. Zimmerman, Partner in the Small Business Services Group of bmc (Lancaster Office)

 "Whether you are involved as a large business or small business, we believe it's important to avoid a bunker mentality while being fiscally responsible in difficult financial times," stated Dave Black, President & CEO of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC.  "This program will offer some tips from people who have weathered economic storms in the past in a practical sense in common sense terms as the opportunity to share experiences of peers at the event.  While businesses may need to adjust in challenging times, it's important that businesses realize adjust does not mean stop looking and planning ahead."
