The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC Helps Inclinator Co. of America Expand Facilities

THE HARRISBURG REGIONAL CHAMBER AND CREDC HELPS INCLINATOR CO. OF AMERICA EXPAND FACILITIES

HARRISBURG, PA (July 15, 2008) - The Harrisburg Regional Chamber and CREDC (HRC/CREDC) announced today that it provided financing to Wister Street Partners, a real estate holding company for the facilities of Inclinator Company of America located at 601 Gibson Street, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, PA. Inclinator Company of America expanded its production facility by 24,000 square feet at the current location. The project is expected to help retain the company's 64 current employees and create another 10 - 15 jobs within the next three years.

Inclinator Company of America was founded in 1923 by C.C. Crispen when he invented the stair chair. The company quickly moved into the elevator business, and to this day, every elevator is custom made. The company is now an industry-leading manufacturer of residential elevators selling through dealers in every state and in several countries worldwide.

"Inclinator is a Dauphin County company with a proud history and a true commitment to its employees and to serving people with disabilities," said Dauphin County Commissioner George Hartwick III. "This loan from PIDA and HRC/CREDC will help the company increase not only production, but the opportunities available to current employees, job-seekers, the homebound and their families."

HRC/CREDC provided a Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) loan of $302,000 toward the expansion project. The PIDA loan program provides low-interest loans to eligible businesses that commit to creating and/or retaining jobs in Pennsylvania.
