Harrisburg Regional Chamber and CREDC Assists Telkore, Inc. with Growth and Job Creation

HARRISBURG, PA (January 3, 2007) - The Harrisburg Regional Chamber and CREDC (HRC/CREDC) announced today that it provided financing to Telkore, Inc. to purchase new equipment, which will support new crews recently hired and to be hired in the near future. Upon application for funding in August, Telkore committed to retaining all 25 full-time positions and to creating 10 new full-time positions within three years. Today, they employ 31people, full-time, and predict hiring 25 more full-time positions throughout 2007.

Telkore, Inc., located in Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County , PA , started its operations on July 1, 2004 and is solely owned by Richard S. Wilson. The company provides cellular construction services to wireless providers spanning the entire Atlantic Coast. The company's initial focus was on the tower construction, however since its foundation, Telkore has expanded its ability to include the construction and maintenance of wireless shelters and wireline areas of telecommunications.

HRC/CREDC provided a Small Business First (SBF) loan of $103,360, in conjunction with Fulton Bank financing and other equity contributions. The SBF loan program is designed to stimulate the expansion and assist in the retention of small business for the purpose of creating new jobs and retaining existing jobs in Pennsylvania. This important program is administered by the Commonwealth's Department of Community and Economic Development and is funded with the ongoing support of the Administration and the General Assembly.
