Eight Members of The Pennsylvania House of Representatives Addressed The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC’S Membership at the 2007 Legislators’ Forum I

HARRISBURG (January 29, 2007 )- Today, eight members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives addressed the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC's (HRC/CREDC) membership at the organization's 2007 Legislators' Forum I, held at the Hilton Harrisburg. Some of the topics of discussion in the question and answer session included property tax reform, tort reform, the budget and rising health care costs. HRC/CREDC also unveiled its 2007 legislative priorities. The event was held in cooperation with the West Shore Chamber of Commerce.

The Legislators' Forum is designed to facilitate interaction between our members and State Government officials. This year, HRC/CREDC has divided the event into two separate days. Legislators' Forum I featured members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives; Legislators' Forum II, scheduled to be held Wednesday, February, 14, 7:30am , at the Hilton Harrisburg , will feature members of the Senate.

The following members of the House of Representatives were in attendance:

  • Representative Jerry L. Nailor
  • Representative John D. Payne
  • Representative Scott Perry

"Our objective of the Legislators' Forum is to inform our members of all of the issues facing individuals and businesses on the local, regional and state levels. The event accomplishes that specific purpose."

HRC/CREDC's 2007 legislative priorities include Business Tax Reform, Health Care, Meaningful Lawsuit Abuse Reform and Medical Liability Reform and Transportation.

The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC serves as a catalyst for promoting growth and quality of life in Cumberland , Dauphin and Perry Counties by providing a unique blend of business, community and economic development and advocacy services under one roof to boost our economic vitality and livability as a region. HRC/CREDC has been accredited with four stars from the United States Chamber of Commerce.
