The third annual Business Diversity Works Conference was created to assist in building the framework to strengthen the capacity and competence of women and minority-owned businesses, enabling them to gain access and opportunities to competitively bid and successfully complete significant contracts with larger corporations.  The conference is also designed to educate corporations in creating more diversity resulting in increasing the economic growth and development throughout the region.

The day featured two dynamic morning and luncheon speakers, minority and women-owned business exhibitors, and a series of breakout sessions, both in the morning and in the afternoon. Renee Amoore, President and Founder of The Amoore Group, Inc., was the featured morning speaker.  Luke Visconti, partner and co-founder of DiversityInc, the magazine, and DiversityInc.com., was the featured keynote luncheon speaker.
